There's always the full frontal pose in command chair with legs spread.

Due to my cartoon's short legs with big feet sitting poses with visible legs are somewhat less than impressive and dignified *G*, but the command chair is a good idea. And it might be a nice parallel to my Sheppard icon in which I have him sprawled in the Atlantis control chair...
