It really amazes me that there's so little fan following for that series. It's possible that the characters, and the show in general, were just too weird and eclectic to really inspire the sort of fannish loyalty that a more middle-of-the-road show would get. And even though I do write fanfic and I love the show, I've never been particularly inspired to write fic for it, either -- although I agree that there should be more!
