Well, I can understand the latter. Because even if the journal vanishes or gets locked the community post will still be available with the story, so if a community decides that once a story is published on it, it should be published for good and not waffling back and worth and invalidating the community memories and such, I can respect that. It's certainly more practical for the readers.
