I needed a Dresden Files icon, so I present you with a HarryDresden!RatCreature, my 110th icon. In keeping with the books there are multiple injuries (as usual), Bob the skull, his staff and rings, the duster, and his mother's pentacle amulett, though that isn't very recognizable at icon-size. If you want to really see the details (and another injury on his foot, with a blood stained bandage even!, that got cropped to make it fit the icon format), you can look at the pencils and at a larger inked version behind the cut.

I was wondering if you'd got someone to draw these out for you or you did them yourself, very nice.

And the pentacle is a nice touch and it is flowing the "right" way, no evil goat symobls here. Huzzah.

I've just finished reading the seventh Dresden book and I'm astounded by the amount of torture the poor guy is inflicted with. At one point he *deleted* (for spoilers) and amazingly up he gets and continues fighting evil.

I'm glad you like the icon. :)

And yeah, the poor guy takes a lot of abuse. Personally I wouldn't mind if it was toned down a little because while I grok a character pushing himself and some suffering, extreme whump isn't a kink for me. But in any case I obviously had to draw my HarryDresden!RatCreature wounded, because at most points during the series he is more or less severely injured.
