Concur with Min, that non-fannish posts are perfectly legit. Last year, I wrote about baseball and my childhood, and all my IBARW posts have been from this, my not-particularly-fannish account. (This year, I'm working with short stories and novels.)

This was a great example of IBARW writing, BTW, and a great rebuttal of that "Oh, that is the US's problem!" meme I'd been seeing around. Thanks for writing it.
