kicking the LJ interface

When I configured my LJ the first time I looked up these override things right at the start to include links to blogs on my friends page, it took me a while to look it up in the maze of FAQs and support LJs, but that was alright.

Now I noticed that my former link to Shrift's blog lead actually to a redirection, I wanted to change it, went to "Modify Journal" and the damn thing didn't list my former overrides. Is that normal?!? I thought I could just quickly change the link in question, but instead I had to look it up all over again. Since of course I didn't remember the syntax for them. Granted, looking it up was faster than the first time, but still. This time I saved the override syntax in a file at home, but really, this is annoying. Is this intentional hassling to convince people of the advantages of a paid account and the possibility of creating styles?
