Yeah. I'm not sure, but my speculation as alternative to a horrible LJ security glitch is that it might be something like that the poster didn't use the html editor where you handcode the username but something else, and then copied the user name code as it appeared on their screen to the input field of some wysiwyg editor, which included all html as it displayed to them, including their note. Only hardcoded without the poster realizing the difference and that now the comment isn't dynamic because they didn't use the short cut but the actual html code. Or something like that.
I guess I should point out that the note is visible and ask how they posted, but it just feels so awkward to me to talk about LJ and or posting glitches in a death announcement.
