Crediting is a good thing. It drives me crazy to see uncredited stuff, not least because then I can't find more of it.
Though I admit that even with credit I'm not quite comfortable with this posting of non-Tumblr sources (ones that come without a CC license, some note that reposting with credit is okay, or are public domain or something like that). Maybe clinging to that kind of control is outdated -- I mean, by allowing myself to be indexed to get search hits, I certainly couldn't yank my art, as it would be on archive.org and google's cache and wherever -- but it still irks me when reposting for convenience wins over just linking to the cool source (that then would get the traffic) without duplicating the content. Of course publishing has always meant some loss of control, and as audience I totally get why the convenient reposting is popular, and yet. *flails* Conflicting impulses, heh.
