I wasn't surprised one bit--at least, not by the style. After reading Long Halloween and Dark Victory, it was apparent that Loeb has no interest in writing "mysteries" that can be solved, only shock endings that may or may not make sense.

I mean, I'm amused by the Riddler being given a slightly darker/more viable bent, but otherwise....
