freaky dream

Last night I had this dream, it had some complicated plot involving me running through a mall, public toilets, some of my former high school classmates, which I have mostly forgotten, but at one point in the dream I looked into a mirror, and my left eye was somehow changed. Its iris wasn't the color of my eyes, i.e. a somewhat dull, muddy blue, anymore, but instead whiteish and somehow glazed over. It looked freaky (well, it's probably more scary for me than it sounds to others, because I have this thing about my eyes). The really weird part though is that I had forgotten all about the dream after waking up, until a few minutes ago I washed my hands, glanced into the mirror and this image of my face with my left eye being all white and scary pops into my head, startling me. It took me a while to remember where the image was coming from, too. Why can't I have pleasant images from vivid dreams revisit me while I'm awake? Why does it have to be the horror freakshow images?
