Yes, so far I'm quite pleased too with the changes. And I hope it won't vanish any more of my pictures now. At least it seems to work for me with the uploading and display, which is more than what can be said for some other photo sites. For example I stopped using photobucket when it just wouldn't work anymore on my computer, and then I found out that it degraded pictures to save space, even when you were under your allowed space and transfer limits (and not just for free users, but paid too). So it is not as if LJ was alone with broken image storage systems.
