Well, the rest of my last ones that I finished before opening the new bag was several months older and still no critters in sight, even though they were from the same brand and store (and thus presumably of the same level of hygiene and care during production), so I'm not sure they are more prone to infestation in general. I certainly hope they are not a general harbor for unhatched beetle eggs or whatever that I have unwittingly eaten when consuming them fast...
