I watched the third part of The Hobbit today...
...and overall I enjoyed it.
I would have liked it though, if at the end the movie had tied up the whole treasure division and Arkenstone situation properly, especially considering the changes the movies made. I mean, maybe I missed something, but did we see what happened to the Arkenstone? I know that it got buried with Thorin in the book, but did that happen here considering it was imbued with greater significance? Also did Thranduil get whatever necklace he coveted from the hoard?
Unrelated to that, I found thesandworms mountainworms a weird choice, even more than Dain riding a pig. Though overall I appreciated the animals and creatures in the battles because that gave things more variety in how the armies clashed, so I didn't mind that there were goats and pigs in addition to bats and eagles. I still found the pig startling.
