Neither photorealism nor realistically painted pages do it for me in comics. I tend to adore comics with a great, dynamic line, or if it's fully painted with a distinct (usually not realistic) painting style (like Lorenzo Mattotti). For me Ross' art just doesn't feel alive despite it being so "life-like" and has none of the emotional punch other comic art makes me feel.
