In answer to your WIP question, yes, it's a common practice to find different numbers of chapters posted for the same story depending on the archive you look in. And the odd thing is that this doesn't seem to be completely dependent upon whether one archive is moderated and another isn't, since I've sometimes discovered updates on modded archives *before* they appear on ff.net.
