I just read Hail Mary by zaganthi and perryvic (ca. 13,450 words), a futurefic with some really cool ideas about Atlantis and Ancient tech. It is McKay/Sheppard slash, but really mostly about John/Atlantis.

In case you're more interested in "comics theory meets holocaust studies" than the fanboys, you can make your way through all 300 pages of it, as it recently came out as a book (I haven't read the thing though, so it's not a rec. *g*):
