Sometimes I hate my neighbors. Like when they play really awful, thumping techno music at volumes that I hear it in my apartment almost louder than I normally turn up music I'm listening to myself. I mean, I get the appeal of music played so loud that you don't hear it as much as feel the vibrations in your guts, and that's fine at clubs, or concerts, and I'm not against neighbors having parties sometimes, either, but that volume level just isn't appropriate for playing music on normal occasions, at least not if you are in a building with many apartments and almost no soundproofing.
