Yikes, the weird crush/courting thing between Dexter and the Ice Truck Killer is very creepy. I don't think Rudy could get much more obvious in his crush on Dexter short of hitting on him explicitly (more than he is already, that is, what with showing up at Dexter's place with dinner, and leaving his cell so he has an excuse to see him again and such). It's a wonder that Debra wasn't more suspicious when Rudy, who is supposed to be her boyfriend, kept asking after Dexter while she tries to have sex with him, when it turned out that Dexter wasn't happy about Rudy's bloodbath gift. I found that very freaky, because to me it seemed as if Rudy had counted on Debra telling him about a positive reaction to get turned on and into the mood to have sex, kind of with Dexter by proxy, because obviously he's more interested in Dexter than her, and then when she told him that Dexter had freaked out, Rudy couldn't perform at all. Before this I also thought that he was having sex with her mostly to get closer to Dexter, but somehow I didn't think it to be quite as direct.

I *love* this freaky-ass show. And yes, seriously - how much more obvious could it BE. I'm also highly creeped out by it, but at the same time, I want them to connect so badly, because they're the only people who could understand each other!

AND THEY ARE SERIAL KILLERS. God, I need help.

And how much therapy am I gonna need for rooting so hard for the poor little woobie serial killer to kill the evil ex-husband? I mean, *Dexter* had a more solid code than I did on that one.

Yeah, that happened to me too, that I was rooting for him to kill the ex-husband. It's seriously unsettling what and whom this series makes you feel sympathy for. But at least you are not alone in your ethical maladjustment. ;)
