Today I got a very pretty Christmas card with sparkly snowflakes from derryderrydown. Unfortunately I suck with sending cards myself, but while doodling to pass time on public transport, I came up with this version of Santa visiting derryderrydown's place (inspired mostly by her LJ posts about her cat's hunting prowess), and thought I could at least post it to reciprocate, if I'm not sending cards.

But this! This is totally perfect! Oh, Chester, you are internationally renowned as a killer of furry things and Santas.

And, apparently, he's taken to sitting on top of next door's chickenrun with a thoughtful look on his face.

No, I suspect it would have been a regular helper-elf. Considering the size of some of the animals Derry's cat likes to hunt a mouse might not assure that the cat isn't hungry anymore. *grin* (Obviously experienced helper-elves in turn probably have a bag of cat and dog treats handy...)
