I have the first pictures of the little rats that will move in with me in a few weeks. I don't know yet which two of these adorable little baby rats will come to me, but they are all extremely cute, as only fuzzy little mammals can be.
I'd never dare to keep mice. I mean, even adult rats seem rather fragile when you worry that you could squish them because they insist on running over, under and around your feet and such.
I had a mouse when I was twelve, and never did her any harm. Of course, you do have to be careful when they're about not to roll over them, but one can quite easily pick them up and pet them without hurting them.
I'm excited too. And I really hope Ben will get along with them. He's been alone a long time already, well in rat terms at least three months is rather long, but I didn't just want to get rats from a pet store, because it's so much better to get them from a loving hobby breeder rather than from some place that sells animals like a bulk commodity.

And she mailed me that I could visit them next week once their eyes are open and cuddle them a bit.
