Dexter Season finale...

Okay, I totally didn't see that coming. Rudy, or rather Brian, I guess, was Dexter's brother?!? Wow. So considering how I interpreted Rudy's interest in Dexter in the previous eps, I now have the first incest pairing for whom I actually see slashy vibes. Yikes, looking back, that makes Rudy's behavior even creepier.

Also when Dexter killed him in the end? I actually felt bad for both Dexter and Rudy. *flail!*

Also my opinion on Harry is at a new low. I mean, his approach to parenting a wee!psychopath didn't endear him that much to me to begin with, but that he separated the kids who clearly cared a lot about each other when they were at their most traumatized was really kind of low, IMO. I now wonder whether they still would have both grown up to be serial killers if they had stayed together.

Well, if any show were ever going to do canonical gay incest, this would be the show to do it.

I'm disappointed that Rudy died; I think he still had a lot of story potential left in him.

Also my opinion on Harry is at a new low.

I was glad that we got that line, a couple of episodes back, about how Harry "changed" after rescuing Dexter, because trauma at least goes some way toward explaining his unconventional sessions with Dexter. On the other hand, if you rescue a kid from a scene like that and later discover he is interested in killing things, you might want to consider the possibility that he's exhibiting a manifestation of PTSD, and not a real sociopath.
