prompt me?

I'm vaguely dissatisfied that I haven't drawn in ages, but whenever I think about doing the actual fanart stuff I have ideas for I go "eeep!", hide and turn into a lazy sloth (more so than usual even). So I thought I could maybe do some much less intimidating quick drawbles and practice drawing with my tablet besides.

The last times I offered drawbles it was based on interests, but seeing that many (myself included) have deleted theirs since, I thought I could offer to draw from prompts instead (though I'll stop short on actually promising delivery, though I'll try).

Don't expect to get great quality art -- I mean if I was in the frame of mind to have the concentration and attention span for proper drawings I hope I'd work on some actual fanart -- more like doodles. To give an example, say you had prompted me with "teddy bear + tentacle rape" you might get something like this:

squid and teddy bear

*lol* @ that poor teddy bear

Hmmm... Do you want only funny prompts or would something like John+Rodney kissing in a puddlejumper work too?

[identity profile] purelyironic.livejournal.com 2007-07-29 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Actually with that prompt I'd probably draw the puddlejumper from the outside with kissing sound effects.

Oh, that would work for me! That would really, really work *squee*

Would I be allowed to print it out and stick it on the bookshelf near my desk?

My bookshelf is full of fandom things. There are some promo pix, but I like pictures created by fangirls way more ;-)

Thank you very much!

I'll narrow that down to something having at least John Sheppard in it? *keeps staring at bear's face* You can do him as a rat if that helps ...

aslödfkjasdlfkjsdf I was going to say something about "hold the tentacles" ho girl, I was asking for it *gggg* the poor guy! Wah. Also, that was fast and definitely life-like. Thank you!!!!!

--if you could do a furry-creature-type Doctor, that would be AMAZING. (I leave it to you how to indicate his Doctorness--scarf? TARDIS? screwdriver? I TRUST YOUR IMAGINATION :D )

[identity profile] lcsbanana.livejournal.com 2007-07-29 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
ahahahaha, sorry! I just sort of forget that not everyone is as susceptible to fandom osmosis as I am. *g* Hmmm. i will see if i can find photo references or think of something else, then, I want some adorable furry art! :D

That one Doctor with the crazy scarf strikes me as well-suited to fuzzy-creature-fication. (I don't know from Doctor Who either.) From photos of him I've seen, he looks like he had a personality somewhere between Gene Wilder and Harpo Marx... is that anything like close, or am I just letting the iconic hair and the goofy fashion choices lead me astray?

NAAAWWWWWWWW. This is adorable, and I can actually imagine this being his eleventh regeneration. *hee hee hee*

I would love a sketch of J'onn wearing his 'John Jones' trenchcoat (but with at least some of his aaalien showing, either shape-wise, or with his skin being green, or the eyes -- or all three) caught mid-conversation with Officer Dick Grayson. Feel free to 'creature'-fy them if you like.

(The first person who deduces the Theme of this request will get some sort of special present.)

Sorry, I really didn't mean to be difficult! (And I did say you could make them into animal-caricature creatures.) But it came out fabulous, and is *just* what I wanted -- a pic of two d(D)icks!

Words cannot express how much I adore Dick's *smirk*. And J'onn... that's pretty much *exactly* what I was picturing when the idea occurred to me. Awesome work on both their clothes, too.

::squeebles over it and loves it and may in fact *also* print hirs out::

Would you like a sketch from me** in return?

** Note that the quality of my sketch will likely not hold a candle to yours.

Oh, *wow*. This is really incredible! The expressions seem just right, and man, J'onn especially -- his pointy head! Ee!

[identity profile] imadra-blue.livejournal.com 2007-07-29 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! I kinda think the teddy bear picture is adorable.

If you're still offering, I can has Anakin and Obi-Wan arts? I don't even care if they're sharing a milkshake or staring in horror at the HoloNets. Anything you feel like having them do. XD

Again, I can't remember if I commented before, but this was also too cute!

[identity profile] pho999.livejournal.com 2007-07-30 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
Could you draw a leprechaun squidbaby? Your tentacle-rape pic made me think of that. (It's a complicated process.)

[identity profile] pho999.livejournal.com 2007-07-31 08:44 am (UTC)(link)
That is totally cool! Thanks!
(yay for pot of gold)

How about "items accidentally left in the back seat of the Metallicar"?

[identity profile] marinarusalka.livejournal.com 2007-07-31 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee! That's perfect. The smelly sock (which we all totally know is Dean's) adds just the right touch.
