this week's Avatar

Am I the only one who had Rocky flashbacks during these training scenes with Iroh in his cell?

Also, Sokka is just awesome, but of course we all knew that already. I mean, the timeline of him training two days or so was stretching my suspension of disbelief even for a cartoon, but the way he dealt with the tasks was awesome. And I really liked the sword master who taught him. And I'm now even more curious about that this secret Lotus society he's also a member of just like Iroh and its eventual role.

Maybe I should draw myself an Avatar icon...

I think Shushu is referring to Sarah Connor doing push-ups in the looney bin. I remember there was all kinds of kerfluffle in the media about Linda Hamilton getting ripped and having defined arm muscles...the first female lead in an action movie who looked like she could physically handle the fight scenes and stunts.

Iroh was awesome. I'm wondering more and more about the paisho lotus tile society too.

Sokka's swordmaster was cool, and that was a riff on every training montage in every action movie ever, the way Aang's day at school hit all the school media-cliches.

I'm wondering if they might be loyalists to Iroh as the true Fire Lord...and if that whole 'Auzlon suddenly died and left a note changing his mind about naming Ozai the heir, the night Ozai's wife Ursa disappeared' plot is going to turn out to be important.
