this week's Supernatural
This week's episode wasn't much fun to watch for me. It was really hard on my embarrassment squick in long stretches, which was made even more annoying by the fact that if it had been an older guy with a younger woman it would have never been played as "obviously" ridiculous, and the older woman being a lecherous pervert.
The rest of the case wasn't so bad, even though I found it kind of annoying that apparently killing a cousin as a teenager in a car accident (I assume it was accidentally), is as bad as murdering your family for their money. Also I didn't quite understand what Sam used to summon the murderous brother of the ghost. I mean, what was that that he plunked into the pentagram?

Word.
And word on the other issues, too. I was kind of bored, and actually annoyed, for much of the episode. It would have been possible to have an older woman find Sam attractive, without it being so OTT ridiculous and Sam being so incredibly revolted by it. But between that and the shower scene, and having the gal jogging at night in skin-tight shorts and jogbra in what was manifestly not grossly hot & humid conditions (the only circumstances under which I'd run alone in such an outfit), I'm pretty cranky about the gender stuff in this ep. (And yeah, I get that it was a Psycho shoutout; I still thought it gratuitous.)
