Krümel is home :)
He was much livelier today than yesterday, pretty much his normal self, except that his left eye is mostly sewed shut to allow it to heal. There's only a little opening left towards the corner so that the eyedrops can be put in, which he needs several times a day. At least three times, but the vet told me that more frequent would be better if I can manage. He has to take an antibiotic once a day too.
The stitches will come out next Monday, and then the vet will see whether the efforts to preserve the eye have really worked.
Krümel seems happy to be back, even though upon coming home he promptly started to squabble with Emil and Ignatz. Nothing serious, mostly just posturing with some wrestling and squeaking, but I guess he has to make clear that his two day stay with the vet didn't mean he's relinquished any rights in their pecking order. Obviously I'd rather Krümel took it easy, but he doesn't think so.
