GIP: Batverse icons

I tried to make some icons for Batverse comics. Of course all my favorite panels didn't really fit in an icon, and often the images were much too dark no matter how much I tried to fiddle with the scans, and this is my first attempt at something like this. However if anybody still wants some, they are up for grabs, behind the LJ-cut. If you want to add text to the plain ones that's okay, too.

I'm at work and can't grab it, but I'd like the first icon on the left from the GK #18 row. Thinking of, "Which one is the mask?"

It just occurred to me that your comment actually sounds a lot more like the first one in the row above that, with Bruce in the foreground and the cowl in the background, though those are from GK #24. Anyway, grab whichever one you meant, when you get around to it.

Man, you give good icon.

The second one from Gotham Knights 16 will make the perfect Bat-woobie icon I've been wanting; I'll be captioning it myself, so I'm open to sharing if someone else falls in love with the same base image.

I'm also gonna hang on to a copy of the 784 one just because it's so hard to find good Batman-&-Jim-Gordon images, and I imagine I may want to use it at some point in future. Or, you know, just look at it on my HD.

That Detective Comics story had some good interaction between Batman and Gordon, also between Alan Scott (Green Lantern I) and Batman. And yeah, Gotham Knights around that time, when Devin Grayson was writing it, had some great Bat-woobie, especially Bruce's psychotic breakdown in #24, where he actually talks to Batman as separate from himself and sees him, is one of my all time favorite Batman stories.

Here he is. Did a touch of fussing with the lighting, too, which I think makes it somewhat more angsty than gloomy.

And I just wanted to take the opportunity to say Devin is my favourite writer for the Gotham family. She occasionally takes them where I wouldn't expect, but I always believe her, and follow. (Though Judd Winick is becoming a close second with the way he's been writing Outsiders, and Devin has long been far ahead of the pack.)

I'm not that thrilled with the current Outsiders, but agree on Devin Grayson even though I like her work on GK better than the current Nightwing.

I'm always happy if an icon is taken. For months after I posted them only about one or two icons or so from each batch I made had been taken, even though I crossposted in comicicons and the Batman ones also in gotham_gazette. I have to admit that I became a bit unsure about my actual talent/skills for icon making. I mean, my offerings for the most part are more like icon bases anyway, it's not like I come up with witty texts or anything, I merely browse through comics, looking for cool square sections that might make an interesting icon, and scan them to see if it works in just 100x100 size (unfortunately often it doesn't), because I find the process oddly relaxing.

You're welcome. Some of the GK 17 and 18 icons have been claimed in the earlier comments though, so if you want to use those as bases, you'd have to check with their new owners.
