random rat post

Why is it that rats themselves can smell so awesome, when their pee smells just like smelly pee? Seriously, rats themselves smell very nice: If you bury your nose in their fur it is a pleasant smell, much better than most other animals I've smelled up close (admittedly mostly cats and dogs so the comparison sample is small). And yet -- they pee in their sleeping spaces where they then lie down, and they pee on each other anyway, but while I smell like gross rat pee when they inevitably mark me or my clothes, they come out smelling like roses. Well not roses, but a nice non-pee smell. I just don't get it.

I'm sorry that Pepsi thing must have hurt. It's really true about the rats though.

And thank you for reccing me! I do post all art on LJ too, I'm just producing art so infrequently that it sort of gets lost here, which is why have the wordpress blog. Also the WP categories are just better for sorting than LJ's tags.

I do not have a separate art LJ. I meant that I also post all my art in this LJ. So anyone subscribing here will not miss anything art related, though they will see the other stuff like recs, rat posts and random ramblings too. Anyone who just wants to follow the art posts on my LJ can track updates to the specific tags, i.e. I tag all fanart as "fanart", all icon drawings as "creature doodle" and such.
