I feel cheated.

You'd think we would get at least extra pretty sunsets out of that invisible volcano cloud, but apparently not. At least the ones here today and yesterday weren't especially colorful or anything like that. It seems it's only good for disrupting air traffic.

Also, I really need to tidy up my desk before I can start to paint my Trekreversebang pencils. It is sort of possible (if not ergonomically sound) to draw in pencil in that tiny paper-sized area you cleared amidst the clutter, or to just draw stuff wherever (like sitting on your bed), but with acrylic paint not so much.

Hee! I had exactly the same thought this evening. "At least there'll be a prettier than normal sunset," I thought. Except... not really, no.

Yeah. For a gigantic volcanic ash cloud it is very inconspicuous. I mean, not that I want toxic fumes or acid rain, but still. I guess it's a good thing we have weather satellites to warn the aircraft.

We were just saying last night that our sunset was very red (there's a lot of backburning going on as fire prevention), and how awesome the sunsets in Europe must be right now. I'm disappointed!

I guess it's too high or too thin or something. It is very inconspicuous for a giant volcanic ash cloud. Clear blue skies during the day, and very little pink in the sunset, even though the satellite photos showed it directly above my area, and the airport is closed because of it. I guess it's a good thing we have satellite pictures now, or we'd only have noticed once it dropped a plane.
