Even though it's nearing its end, I still don't know what I'll ultimately think of Hush as a story, but it is sure pretty, and I'm a sucker for art I like, so that goes a long way to mollify me. I mean I've bought comics for much "less" than consistently pretty interior art, like some just because I liked the artist doing the cover art, even if it wasn't the same artist doing the actual interior comic, and a few times I even thought the internal art sucked. Obviously it has to be a really good cover for that, or I have to be a major fan of the artist so that I'll buy anything s/he draws, but it happens (though Jim Lee isn't quite that far up my list). I guess it's like with people who say they'll read the grocery lists of some authors. I never do that with writers, i.e. reading characters, genres or fandoms I don't enjoy as such, but I'll do it for comics for some artists, regardless whether I like the writer, or know the characters (and sometimes even the language, I mean I do own a couple of comics I can't really read).
