So the FBI agent guest star was the same actress as that FBI agent from The Inside, yes? So is "FBI agent with serial killer connection in her past that causes spooky killer insight" now some sort of type casting?

Unfortunately, despite this I found the episode rather boring, and the killer uninspired.

Pretty much I have to agree with you. The episode was dull and the new girl boring.

We didn't even get much team interaction. And usually we either get something about the killer or about the victims or something, but unless I missed something there was neither. And I guess the tragic FBI rookie past was supposed to make up for that, but what we saw didn't really work for me. I mean, the supposedly special insight and its origin made no sense to me.
