Yeah, especially with how by now Quinn must suspect something seriously messed up is going on with Dexter. Maybe if they keep being a couple, they'll eventually come clean with each other and pool their intelligence on Dexter.
Me, too. I was so paranoid that she wouldn't survive that I was afraid she'd fall off the boat and drown after they dumped the body, just so there would be more angst. But she was okay! Although I am kind of dubious about the moral of the story, which seems to be that killing really does solve all your problems! (Okay, that's a simplification. Still!)
Yes, I was worried during the boat scene too! I was suspicious because it was overly romantic cliche, and they had still so much time left.
I don't think it's really any dodgier morally than the rest of the series. I mean, watching you root for the serial killer, who kills for fun and vigilante action (as if killing people helped with crime), and he gets away with killing random people (like the one he killed in a fit of rage, iirc) too.
Haha, true. But it did bother me that he got away with killing that dude. I wanted there to be some consequences for that. I dunno, I feel like in earlier seasons there were more moments where the audience was reminded that Dexter's worldview was twisted and, you know, wrong, and now it just sort of goes along with 'whatever Dexter does is okay'. I couldn't really substantiate that with evidence from the text, though. It's just a feeling.
