Notes/comments: It occurred to me that in the Temeraire universe Santa Claus wouldn't get equipped with weirdly flying, magical reindeer, but he'd just be believed to use a dragon to fly around and deliver presents. This made me feel a distinct lack of Santa Claus pictures with dragons in them. (Everything is better with dragons.) So I drew one. First I wanted to do a complete flying dragon, but then Santa was so tiny that you couldn't really see him anymore, so I settled for showing just part of the dragon in favor of a larger Santa. Though he probably still ought to be smaller, if it was a huge dragon to carry all the presents, but in any case it works better than the reindeer logistics...

I'm glad you like it. If you want it in print, I could send you a hi-res version. The digital size I worked on was 2500px wide, so that would definitely be enough to print it as a card in decent quality.

It certainly is! I adore this; the idea in it self is wonderful and the way you've brought it to life is great. I love Santa's little seat and the massive bag for the gifts and the interaction between Santa and his dragon.

Really, dragons should feature way more prominently in Christmas decorations. I mean, it's not like reindeer or fir trees have anything to do with Jesus' birth either. And dragons wouldn't be so hemisphere specific, they'd work for the people who have Christmas in summer too...
