My rats don't mind the fireworks. In general all of my rats have always been very zen about any kind of noise outside, but very easily startled by sudden noises inside. So outside there can be shouting, sirens, fireworks, and they don't care, but if I drop something for example, they run and hide.

I don't recall the dog having any strong reactions, but 1) she is going deaf and 2) Fireworks are banned within city limits. Some idiots still set them off, but I have no idea if the amount of noise generated is the same as in non-banned places.

Here fireworks for regular people (rather than event ones) are only allowed on New Year's Eve, but during that time there is quite a lot of it, though it has been getting less popular compared to when I was a kid. Still, from about the time it gets dark around four in the afternoon, to the next morning, there is pretty much constant fireworks noise here, with a peak around midnight of course.
