Happy new year! (also a Fringe question)

I've been spending the evening with a Fringe marathon, and now reached 2x11 and did I miss something? How did Charlie come back from the dead and why didn't any of the others remark on this? Is there something out of order? Or are they being coy with some sort of annoying narrative twist and I just need to be patient?

It's a season 1 ep Fox showed out of order for some reason.

Okay, that makes sense. I started to wonder about clones and alternate universe versions. Not that I'm not used to resurrections in comic book fashion, but usually there's at least some fig leave of an explanation.

I had so many awesome theories for this episode, but no, it was just Fox being silly buggers.

The possibilities were what had me so confused. In a series where outlandish resurrections aren't a likely possibility, I would have assumed the network showing it out of order right away.

Stupid FOX showed it out of order. I had the same reaction when I saw it -- wait, is this an AU? But no. Just idiots in charge.

It would have been less confusing in a series in which completely outlandish resurrections and AU versions of characters weren't in-story possibilities.
