Notes/comments: This an illustration for the Yuletide 2011 Pinky & Brain story Best Laid Plans by lies_d. I have to say that it is not at all easy logistically to draw these two kissing. First there's the height difference and then the muzzles get in the way too. Also, this is supposed to be the photo of them that ends up on Facebook in the story and originally wanted to format this to appear as if posted there, like a screenshot with the website logo and such, but I do not have an account and don't really know how the pages where photos are displayed look for the users. I tried finding screenshots of Facebook walls but they don't seem to show photos, just comments? So now you just have to imagine it there.

Please do not distribute my art without my permission, i.e. do not upload my art to other sites, services, archives, or wikis. That includes uploading the images themselves to your own Tumblr, even with credit. A high resolution version of this art without the URL watermarking is available on request for private, non-commercial uses.

ETA (Jan. 7): Thanks to the awesome yue_ix who gave me not just a Facebook screencap, but a file made from it with the elements already sorted in layers and prepared for the names, I was now able to make this picture appear on a fake Facebook site like it was in the story.

When I first came around I couldn't see the art but figured it was my computer, so I saved the tab. I'm glad to see that fixed today!

This is great; lie you said the logic of kissing with muzzles can be a headache but you've navigated that well. I really love how you emulated the style, and how recognisable they both are. Their expressions are priceless (Pinkyy <3), and do help make this look like a candid shot. =)

If you'd still like to make this into a facebook page, I could take a screencap of something from mine's? It's barely used and I'd replace the names already.

And if you could give me a screencap of where such a photo would appear on Facebook that would be awesome. I'd still like to format it in that way.

Great! For the screencap, would giving you a link to a photoshop file work?
That way I'd simply flatten the layers hiding my names/pictures and those of my friends, and keep the placeholder text layers for you so you know what goes where and how (as much as I could figure out, anyway, but both versions look fairly similar right now).

I think GIMP can open photoshop, so that should work out.

I've tested it with my GIMP and while it recognised every layer, it sadly didn't keep the text layers as text layers. Sorry. I've edited their title so as to give you the necessary info for them. All font used was Tahoma, size 12.
