I'm not sure the icon is fully recognizable, the cartoon I've drawn was larger, but that was too much to shrink to icon size. It shows my cartoon avatar in a hammock, dozing/day-dreaming contently, and the hammock is fastened to pegs stuck in huge piles of papers, books and such which have accumulated. Does it work?

Also this procrastination icon fits quite well, considering that I spent over three hours creating it (drawing multiple drafts, inking, scanning, cropping, adding text... all with several tries), while arguable another icon maybe shouldn't be that high on my priority list. ;)

It works after you explain that its a hammock. It's probably because you cannot see the other end of it.

Ah well, I guess as long as it's recognizable that my alter ego relaxes next to a pile of books and papers it's not too bad. Out of curiosity, what did you think my avatar could be lying in if not a hammock?

I had an earlier attempt that was less of a "close up", but in that one other things were hard to recognize, like I couldn't really make out anymore that it was papers and books piled up.

I thought at first that it was inclining against a wall, or something. Sort of like a modern sculpture. What species is your avatar, if you don't mind me asking?

Species? It's no particular species. I've drawn similar creatures since I've been a kid (called them "Nasenmonster", i.e. "nose-monsters"), all look a bit different. The one representing me is just a big nosed cartoony creature, with large feet with two toes each, hands with three fingers, a round belly, short legs, big eyes and largish, but cute ears. It's not an animal, or a human. Unlike me it doesn't wear clothes or glasses (at least not most of the time) but its hair style changes with mine, i.e. back in high school I've drawn it with a long braid, now it has short hair.

it's precious :-) seriously, though i didn't immediately see the hammock, the reclinning against the books, hat drawn in face as if resting, made perfect sense and was fully recognizable. i so wish i could draw!!!
