SGA 3x04 Sateda...
I really liked this episode. Ronon was just very cool, and I enjoyed the glimpses we got of Sateda, and his past.
Also Atlantis should seriously scavenge Sateda's weapons caches that still seem to be there. I mean, why are they still shooting dozens of bullets at one Wraith to kill them, when they could pick up crates of weapons that will kill a Wraith in one shot?
I loved how goofy John was throughout. Like that scene with John and Teyla where John got all sincere and awkward while talks about (and demonstrates) his lack in social skills was great. And in the end he did say that he would do anything for his team.
And I squeed so hard during the scene when Rodney talks to Carson about Ronon. Rodney's lines were just great: "Hey, I am a very caring person." and when Carson remarks on him calling Ronon a "caveman", "Buddies have nicknames for each other." I'm not a Ronon/Rodney shipper in particular but it's very hard not to see the slashy potential here: "He's like a brother to me.", "You are just jealous of our relationship.", "We have an unspoken bond." that's "deeper than words"... at the very least, Rodney has a crush. And not that it has much to do with anything, but Rodney's underwear? What *is* that pattern? And the color?!
On the planet Ronon doesn't seem to think Sheppard's all that competent. I mean, when Ronon doesn't want to just flee, we get the start of a bonding moment with Sheppard's (very touching) "Come on. Let's go kill some Wraith." and Ronon says "Just stay out of my way." Heh.
Though by then I seriously wondered what was up with these Wraith. They seemed to be far easier to kill than normal, didn't they? Maybe it is because of the lack of food or something like that. Sheppard lying about how many Wraith he killed to impress Rodney and Carson was cute, but I don't think it won him any points with Teyla. Though the look they shared over Ronon declaring that the Wraith leader was his, was great. (and why was that a guy anyway? I thought that it was always queens at the top of a hive?)
Oh and as I side note, I really liked that Caldwell didn't go along with any insane suicide missions.

I wonder if the wraith incompetence/durability and a wraith male being in charge is somehow connected. Either a) they lost their queen, so now they're substandard (and fashion challenged) or b) it's a training ship, and the queens don't bother themselves with training.
I'm leaning toward b. I suspect the runners are frequently used as a training tool.

And the training ship idea is interesting.
