When I was much younger and hadn't been exposed to subtext, I remember reading the classic Wolverine & Sabertooth stories and thinking "Oo! I bet they're secretly brothers!"

...it was the only way I could rationalize their intimate conversations/referances to a past relationship.

Now, of course, I would read those scenes with a much different eye.

I think we need an official, like, Judas goat person in fandom who actually goes and buys one copy of issues like this. (Or, like, the one where Logan was staring at naked Kurt.) And then they can share with fandom. :D

I actually stopped my subscription for Wolverine a long time ago because it *always* was "blabla...horrible past event revealed...blabla...oh noes! partial amnesia angst...blabla...am I a vicious animal identity crisis...blabla" and despite having an honest *amnesia kink* and loving Wolverine, there's only so much of this plot device that I can take for a single character.

What cracked me up completely was the description of the backup story I found inside: "Also featuring a 12-page backup story "PUNY LITTLE MAN," by Loeb and superstar Ed McGuinness (Superman/Batman): He’s big, he’s green, he’s mean, and he just got his mitts on Logan. Now THIS is gonna hurt."

I mean., WTF?
