online game recs?
Because I'm still sick and feverish and break out into shivers as soon as I leave my multiple blankets, and can only sleep so many hours a day even when sick, I've been amusing myself with online games.
So far I've played the BBC mystery games Death in Sakkara and The Seven Noble Kinsmen, Grow Island (I'm pretty sure I've played all earlier grow versions as well previously), Escape from Octilien, DayMare Town and a few other escape games I found linked from jayisgames.com, like the Submachine series.
I'm looking for more entertaining games, that work under Linux (i.e. most Flash games will be fine, Shockwave otoh won't work), aren't too hard or frustrating and don't require mouse dexterity or being fast with clicking and such (I'm using my laptop with a touchpad while in bed shivering so having to navigate some arrow quickly while clicking on things is pretty much out). Do you have any recs?

I have no idea why they only recommend flu vaccinations for the elderly and immune compromised here (maybe health care workers too, but not regular adults anyway). I mean, okay I'm fairly unlikely to die from the flu unless it's a really unfortunate kind, and who knows whether whatever I caught would have been covered by this year's vaccine, but if my insurance were covering it for me I'd have gotten a flu shot, and might not be so miserable now. *grumble*

I'm lucky enough to work for a business that pays for all its employees to get flu shots each year. I suppose they figure the cost of the shots is less than they would lose to sick time if people had to stay home. It's a very nice fringe benefit; I wish more employers would do that. As where you are, the shots are only recommended specifically for the elderly, pregnant and immune-suppressed, but I usually take advantage of the opportunity anyway.

Gorgeous GORGEOUS graphics (most of the settings made with driftwood and moss images), kind of fun game which is less time dependent than it is trying to find the little tricks that'll let you go forward to every next step. The first two chapters I think are free, there might be more but those cost money. Someone sent me the file for the full game, if you like this, I can send it to you once I get home. The clues are kind of fun and whimsical. Click any place that can be clicked :)

I like very basic games, so I'm a huge fan of Rocks and Diamonds. Also, you can play the Monkey Island games with scummvm, and those are fun and not twitchy at all. I can upload the games and scummvm for you if you want. :)

I haven't played it much but it's easy to play and quite funny.
Sorry you're not well. :(
