The good news is that I actually have an idea for my Yuletart assignment. The bad news is that it's complicated to draw. Why can't they finally develop some gadget that lets you think of your drawing and it then appears in your computer where you put on some finishing touches? This manual idea-to-paper transfer method just sucks, and the results are never what you want either. *is glum*

My pencils are fairly detailed, so that is most of the hard work and so much failure and frustration. For a picture with some work that's a bunch of thumbnails, and sketches, and trying to figure out detail, looking for reference, trying to take photos of my hands or body parts in odd positions because I can never find the right reference (and don't have a roommate to torture), making stupid models of stuff and failing at play-do sculpture, then bringing all that together, and copying and redrawing stuff... Once that is over, there are still color and light decisions, but that part is almost soothing, even if it takes many days.
