13°C? seriously?

I know weather whining is boring, and it's not that I'd want scorching heat, but I woke up earlier during the night because I was so cold (I haven't yet caved and turned the heat on in August). So in the spirit of inquiry and commiseration, a poll:

16°C would be an improvement here. But at least right now I have a blue sky with just a few clouds. It was drizzling yesterday though.

Also 16 degrees and raining...and it's winter! Fortunately, this is normal for here. Unfortunately, summer will be much, much hotter and I like about 16 degrees and raining.

Well, I'd rather have this than 30°C or worse, but I wouldn't mind pleasant 20-22°C highs for a while with maybe a few days of a warm 25° thrown in. And while I'm at it, all rainfall ought to be scheduled during the night...

30 degrees in the daytime is the top of my comfort zone. 30 degrees at night or 40 degrees in the daytime (or worse) is not okay! I live in one of the coolest areas of mainland Australia (there's colder areas inland but they also get hotter in summer) so to get better weather I'm going to have to move to Tasmania. Or New Zealand.

I can commiserate. I also heard that it's warmer near the North Pole in Canada than here. That is just so wrong...

Yeah, it seems really messed up. I don't want to know what this will mean for the food prices down the line. First we had a too hot and dry spring here, now the summer too cold, and of course in other places they have droughts and too much heat, so nothing grows well there either. :(

Toooooo hot (30 and raining) - to be fair, however, I just moved here and don't have a good handle on 'normal' yet, but my local co-workers are melting unhappily and the temp's all anyone will talk about.

30°C is too hot for me too, especially since my apartment is directly under the roof and nobody has an A/C here. Too cool is easier to endure without feeling wretched, but still, some warm days would be nice. *sigh*

Highs of 41-43, so mostly normal there. However, the lows are 29-32 (an have been since June) which is dreadfully high. Normal lows this time of year should be 23/24. We shouldn't be getting such high lows until September.

It was too damn hot for most of July. But fortunately now it's our average August weather - meaning some rain, some sun, and no horrible temps going up and over +30C :) Temperate zone is temperate again, yay.

I have no idea how anyone copes well with over 30°C for long. I mean, I know we all come from Africa and those tropical and subtropical regions and ought to be able to deal with heat, but in the time since back then my ancestors must have lost that ability, or maybe interbred more with the ice-age Neanderthals or something, because I find such temperatures inhumane.

In Massachusetts we expect the unexpected! First it was too hot. Now it is too cold.

I know what you mean. Here the spring was much too hot and too dry, now it's much colder than usual. It's not good at all that climate change makes weather wackier and more extreme like this. :(

Can we have some of your cold? July was awful. Our lows were ~27-32C. August so far is a little bit better, but not much.

Well, I do not want a hot summer either, but neither do I want to have to turn on my heat. Something in the low twenties with a bit of sun would be nice.
