Everwood: The Day Is Done

Somehow I'm annoyed about this twist with making Madison pregnant. Didn't they already have a warning episode with a cautionary tale on teen pregnancy? They couldn't have, for once, just shown that Ephram and Madison had initially awkward, but then obviously fun sex for a while, broke up eventually with some mutual angsting as teenagers do, and there aren't any ominous dire consequences? Why is only Bright allowed to have an (implied) sex life without an anvil dropping on him as punishment later?

On the bright side, I really love how Bright and Ephram's friendship has developed over this season.

I found this episode really disturbing. I was particularly angry that Andy basically told Madison to leave town to have / or not have the baby whilst telling Ephram (the prospective father) absolutely nothing. Once again, Andy is trying to control circumstances around him rather than going with what is true. Sure, Ephram is young, but he is not too young to be told that Madison is pregnant. I think back to when I was 16 and I would have wanted to know.

It finally gave me a pain in the stomach to see Amy and Ephram have picnics whilst Madison was being basically excommunicated by Andy to fight the battle herself.

On a side note, I have been completely impressed by Sarah Lancaster's performances in Everwood.
