Is it just me, or is the mytharc getting ever more tedious? I mean, this didn't really advance things or bring anything new at all, did it? Besides getting rid of Anna, again.

And I can't even wish they'd do more non-mytharc eps, because now these always seem to involve their awful attempts at "humor" which just squick me. I still could not bring myself to watch the bodyswap from last week.

Although, I do have one question about the events in the past: So is it now implied that John got his auto mechanics shop because angels whacked his former boss who had intended to fire him and now he could take over that business instead?

Yeah, pretty much.

And hah! about the auto shop. I was thinking that the death of the owner meant that John would lose his job. I also assumed that the fear of being fired was Anna, not reality.

I just thought I remembered from earlier canon that John had been co-owner or something? (Though I could be wrong about that.) And if he had been at that point already, then he would not have believed Anna's ploy. So he must have been just an employee before the homicidal angels. And I thought it was a kind of disturbing implication that his boss' death made the room for John to advance in the mechanics shop.
