WTF?

I can't believe they're selling chocolate Easter eggs and bunnies already. They really need to invent some sweets geared towards carnival or something, so that there is at least some buffer between the Christmas items deco and the Easter stuff in supermarkets.

Yes, but I fear they'd do lots and lots of Valentine's Day stuff instead, which I'd like even less than Easter bunnies in January...

Haha. I don't mind the early bunnies because spring is something I look forward to. But I hate seeing the first santas appearing in October 'cuz December is pretty much my least favorite time of year, and I don't need any reminders.

eta: wait, October doesn't sound right... was it August last year?? I remember it was way too early.

Yeah, I think here the earliest was mid-August for some cookies. It all ensures that by the time Christmas rolls around I'm thoroughly sick of it.

We did cook a very nice duck though, so it wasn't a total loss. ;)

They were already in my local supermarket on December 30. I spotted the Valentine's Day candy first, and then right next to that was a display of Easter Candy. Not even New Year's yet!!

Oh, they were still unloading Christmas stuff, and pushing tacky New Year's paper hats and things. They seem to have decided it's best to just always have at least three holidays going at once. In September, they had up Halloween, US Thanksgiving, and Christmas stuff.

I would bet that by now they've added St. Patrick's Day tacky stuff to the mix, and as soon as Valentine's is over, the beach balls will come out so everyone can get ready for summer while they're buying tacky St. Pat's stuff and Easter bunnies, whee.

Yes, it's all Easter chocolate here which is especially stupid because the weather is hot and anything near a window melts!
