there come disadvantages...

...with reading only a quite "respectable" newspaper instead of tabloids and not watching much tv news. For example that I missed for two days the news story about the guy who not only murdered a victim and ate the other guy, but had searched for the victim via an internet ad that specifically looked for someone to be slaughtered and eaten, and also prior to the killing ate the deep fried penis together with the victim, all this captured on video tape. And I only noticed because a gay news portal complained about journalists asking "experts" if there were connections between homosexuality and cannibalism (both men were gay). If someone had written this in a story I would have never believed it, it's that bizarre. Also I feel vaguely guilty about enjoying such sensational news.
