ack, nightmares
Aug. 30th, 2006 05:14 amOh yes, this is what I needed, waking up from a nightmare of a horrible, painful skin rash to my face, and that after I had been unable to get into restaurants with delicious smelling food while being hungry and had been soaked to the skin in the same dream.
On the bright side the dream also had anthropomorphic, speaking catpeople -- who were however looking awful when they got the same disfiguring rash with erupting pustules from coming too close to the white furry cactus, which btw for some inexplicable reason was used as a potted plant, and tricked you with its deceptively soft hair, which looked and at first even felt great, all silky and fluffy that you wanted to touch, and it molded itself to the petting too, only that it then shortly afterwards caused said painful rash on all skin that had come close. The anthropomorphic cat person in question however was somewhat stupid as it tried getting close to the cactus even as my symptoms started, convinced it's fur would protect it, but it got it worse than me.
And also what soaked me was some cool, inner city wide water fountain installation, so that part was at least initially fun. Now that I think about it, so was the horror cactus, as its fur felt awesome at first before the pain started.
On the downside, right before I woke up from the pain caused by imaginary skin rashes there also appeared a swarm of crawling bugs which had somehow multiplied in one of my bags (I think due to some fruit that was rotten without me noticing) that finally burst the bag and spilled out of it in a crawling mass. The bugs were smallish and disgusting with a bluish, metallic sheen to their carapace, as if they were the beetle-cousins of blowflies.
Anyway, in a nutshell: wtf, subconscious?! (as usual) and it really sucks to wake up before 5a.m. all panicked and jittery, thinking your face has erupted into weeping, painful sores for a moment.
