You should not try to eat a sandwich during your rats' playtime. They have very definite ideas about sharing tasty food ("it's mine if you can't hold onto it or eat it faster"), and it is near impossible to get in a bite while shoving three greedy rats away from your cheese sandwich with the hand not holding it. I knew this of course, but somehow still felt like getting myself a sandwich. Well, I ended up sharing some of the cheese and eating the rest very quickly.
